The School of Salt Creek BalletThe School of the Salt Creek Ballet is a self-supporting and classically oriented with richly diverse opportunities for a well-rounded dance education. The school and the company are one of the largest dance company/school combination in America. Our goal is to offer students unmatched excellence at all ability, interest and age levels from "Small Steps" through the Vaganova curriculum of dance education to our teen/adult classes. Our true reward is in watching our dancers grow, at any age, with ever higher achievement, and helping them feel more confident about themselves. All faculty are trained and experienced professional teachers with a demonstrated love for teaching. Faculty meetings, seminars and other activities assure continuing professional development and a unified approach to our curriculum. Salt Creek Ballet dancers are pre-professionals drawn from
the best Chicago area talent. Nationally known guest artists, choreographers
and designers regularly work with Salt Creek Ballet to provide dancers
and audiences alike with a level of performance usually associated with
top professional companies. Our students have gone on to dance with leading companies including Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet Arizona, Ballet Iowa, Ballet South, Lexington Ballet, Washington Ballet, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Memphis Ballet and The Royal Ballet in London. Several are teaching dance and one has founded a dance theater company. Most significant however, are the hundreds of students at all levels whose lives are enriched each year by high quality experiences in dance. Salt Creek Ballet's spacious studios, with the finest spring-built floor, accommodate expanded classes at all levels including classical Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Pas de Deux, and Character. |
